Musical Auditions

Auditions for the CSH Musical will take place on November 17th, November 18th, & November 19th 2025. Students need to be available for all days after school to complete the Audition Process.

Also, SIGN UP FOR AN AUDITION SLOT  using this Online Form so we can start building an Audition Order!

Be sure to print and bring both the PERFORMANCE CONTRACT and the ACTIVITIES PARTICIPATION CONTRACT with you to your November 17th audition! These documents can be found in the AUDITION PACKET (in the File List below).
Students who are selecting their own monologue also need to print and bring a clean copy of their MONOLOGUE for Ms. Newman at auditions. (Please consider bringing 4 copies for all directors to see)

Students should report to the THEATRE ROOM (B104) to check-in and wait. Arrive early and remember that audition times are ONLY a guide and that we expect to be running well ahead of time, and anticipate finishing ALL auditions by 6PM.

All CSH students are eligible to audition. Here are some Audition Tips:

• Vocal Ability – How well do you sing? How well do you sing in tune? How quickly do you learn music? How well do you project? Can you sing independently or do you need to follow others?

• Dance Ability – How quickly can you learn a dance? Can you maintain your character and stage presence while dancing? How is your rhythm?

• Stage Presence – This is very important. Remember to display your charisma on stage when you have your initial vocal and dance audition. Smile 🙂 Pretend that you aren’t nervous, be confident, face the audience, BE PREPARED.

• Preparation – It is important to show that you have prepared yourself for the audition and that you take it seriously. Show us that you really want to be in the cast and that you are going to work hard.
