Every year, Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to audition for the Colorado All State Choir. There are three choirs: Treble-Bass Choir, Mixed Choir, and Treble Choir. In order to be accepted, students must compete with other juniors and seniors around the state. The audition is very challenging and requires months of dedication and hard work. Students who wish to audition for All State must perform a prepared solo (must be an art or folk song), and must demonstrate other technical skills in front of a judge. Auditions are held each fall, and selected members will attend All State in the spring. This is an incredible ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity for students to sing with talented peers, and to work under the direction of an incredible choral director.

Interested? Directors will announce details in class (usually this only applies to Charisma & Chantons). We will work together in the fall to get you prepared and you will audition in October. We will receive results around Thanksgiving break. Students will be contacted individually via e-mail with results.

Students interested in auditioning for All State need to submit an application by Monday, September 8th, 2025.

ABOUT THE ALL STATE AUDITION

• Auditioning students need to sign-up for four (4) Solo Coaching sessions with Mr. Jackson or Mrs. Hubbard.
• Auditioning students will need to attend at least four (4) Skills Workshops prior to the week of auditions.
  Skills Workshops will be offered during a variety of times to accommodate student needs. Times will be published in the Choir Room. Check the ALL STATE bulletin in the choir room for more details.
• Students will be expected to participate in a MOCK AUDITION with Mr. Jackson or Mrs. Hubbard. Check the choir calendar for dates.
